Meetings
Town Board Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month at the Bridgewater Town Hall located at 500 Railway Street S., a 1/2 mile southwest of downtown Dundas at 7:00 p.m. Special meetings may be scheduled as needed and will be posted at the Town Hall and on this website.
Individuals may schedule agenda items for discussion at the Town Board Meetings by contacting the Township Clerk. Topics may also be brought up during the “Non-Agenda Topics” portion of the meeting. Special needs can be arranged via e-mail.
Meeting minutes are available online and can also be obtained from the Town Clerk for a nominal fee.
Work Sessions
In addition to regularly scheduled monthly Board meetings, the Board may schedule special work sessions as needed, said meetings will be noticed per State requirements.

Kathleen Doran-Norton
Kathleen Doran-Norton was elected as supervisor in 2006 and has lived in Bridgewater Township for 14 years.
Doran-Norton works at St. Olaf College as Director of Enrollment Information, Research and Planning. Prior to this, she worked in manufacturing, publishing, higher education, public policy research, and social services. She currently serves on the board of EPIC Enterprises and LWV-Minnesota board of directors. She has served as a board member of the League of Women Voters and the Northfield Arts Guild.
Doran-Norton is married to Alan Norton. They have two children, and a grand-daughter.
Bruce W. Morlan
Bruce Morlan was elected supervisor of Bridgewater Township in the March 2010 election. He grew up in Rochester, graduated from Michigan State University in 1973, and spent 20 years in the United States Air Force as an analyst and instructor in mathematics. Retiring in 1993, he moved to Bridgewater Township. He has been active since in local community building, including being one of the founders of Northfield Citizens Online.
Morlan has a been active in local politics, having been one of the Bridgewater Township citizen representatives to the Dundas Planning Commission as provided for in the original Dundas-Bridgewater Annexation agreement (these positions were eliminated after Bridgewater began its own planning and zoning). He also runs a local political discussion forum, the Politics and a Pint series at the Contented Cow.
Morlan works at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester as a statistician and mathematician working in genomics studies and performing analyses for the Health Care and Policy Research division.
Glen Castore
Glen Castore was elected as supervisor of Bridgewater Township in March 2008.
Castore and his wife Barbara Zaveruha moved to Bridgewater Township in 2004 from Roseville. They spent the previous year building an energy efficient house which always seems to need more work. Castore works with a partner on financing alternative energy projects and occasionally helps small companies deal with financial and operational issues. Zaveruha is a potter. Castore and Zaveruha have two children, who both live in the Twin Cities.
Brad Pfahning
Brad Pfahning was elected as treasurer of Bridgewater Township in March 2008.
Pfahning and his family of five have lived in the Northfield area for 28 years. They have owned Bridgewater land for 16 of those years and built their home in Bridgewater in 2001. Pfahning is a University of Minnesota Business Administration graduate. He has over 25 years of business, management, and accounting experience.
Pfahning has also served on finance positions with St. Dominic Church and Cub Scout Pack 300.
Janalee Cooper
Janalee Cooper was elected as clerk of Bridgewater Township in March 2010 and a resident of the township since 1989. She has been self-employed for 15 years and is active with church, political, and business interests.
Jim Braun
Jim Braun is the zoning administrator for Bridgewater Township.
Dennis Brown
Dennis Brown is the road supervisor and snowplow operator for Bridgewater Township.
