Noxious Weed Control Supplement
Noxious Weed Control Supplement – Background
- Town boards are responsible for ditches … including noxious weeds.
- Each town supervisor is, by law, designated a local weed inspector for their township.
- They can designate someone to perform that duty on behalf of the township.
- Local weed inspectors are required to attend annual training.
- We can (1) ask voters to allow us to make land owners and tenants responsible for controlling noxious weeds in township ditches after which we would (2) pass a resolution and (3) enforce the resolution through a written policy.
